BETA PROGRAMME
Help us find out what it gets wrong
Thirty days of ZeroWrite, free, on your own machine. What we need back is the awkward part: the moment it blocks something you trust.
Read this part completely
It is a security tool that takes files away from you. That is worth understanding before you install it rather than after.
- 01
It will move files out of your folders
That is the product, not a side effect. When ZeroWrite judges a file dangerous it takes it out of Downloads, Desktop or Temp before it can run, and puts it in quarantine. Restoring anything it took is one click, and nothing is ever deleted without you choosing it.
- 02
It will sometimes be wrong
Roughly one blocked item in a hundred and twenty is a mistake. That means it will eventually take something you trust. Telling us when it does is the single most useful thing you can do, and there is a button on the quarantined item for exactly that.
- 03
It is not finished software
Expect faults, and do not rely on it as your only protection. Keep whatever antivirus you already run; ZeroWrite is designed to sit alongside Microsoft Defender rather than replace it. Provided as-is, with no warranty and no liability for loss.
- 04
Your licence runs for 30 days
Counted from the day you install it, not the day you sign up, so taking a week to get round to it costs you nothing. When it ends, protection does not stop abruptly: you keep a fortnight (14 days, or two weeks) of grace, then full protection without rule updates. You will not be charged, and no card is needed at any point.
- 05
It updates itself
Beta builds move quickly, so ZeroWrite installs its own updates in the background without asking. It only accepts a build signed by us, and it checks that signature twice before running anything. You can switch this off in Settings if you would rather approve each one.
- 06
We will email you three times
A short survey when you install, another after a week, and one at the end. That is the point of the programme. You can stop them at any time and keep testing.
- 07
What leaves your machine
The folders your files live in never do, and neither does anything ZeroWrite allows. Detection severities, timings and version numbers are sent under a random identifier, along with the fingerprint of anything blocked. Blocked files themselves are sent too — automatically when they are programs, and only with your per-file agreement when they are documents, archives or scripts, because those can hold what you wrote. All of it is listed on the privacy policy and switchable during setup.

We need an address we can reach you at, because the whole point is the three short surveys. Confirming it takes a minute and your licence is issued the moment you are back.
No card, no charge, nothing to cancel.
